Can you imagine, that a pastry can be so thin that a newspaper can be read through it? You can get the answer during this program!
It is a real Hungaricum program, housed in a beautiful historical building in the vicinity of the Basilica.
You can taste 2 out of the 14 different kinds of delicious home made strudels –with fillings like apple, plum, poppy seed, walnut, cottage cheese, braised cabbage or some with unusual fillings, like chicken, foie gras, salmon. Beside this you will also have the oppurtunity to learn about the secrets of traditional strudel making.
Making the paper-thin pastry requires high skills that nowadays are known and practiced only by few elder women in the countryside of Hungary.You can try out yourself!
A cup of fine coffe and a bottle of mineral water is also served with the strudels.
